We’re pleased that our friends at the SUNY AMA Model Aviation Student Club have graciously agreed to host the 3rd Annual Drone Info Day in the SUNY Student Center on September 30th, Noon to 3:00pm!  SUNY AMA will be inviting area commercial drone tech organizations to display their information & share job opportunities, both current & projected.  CNY Drones will share the recreational side of drones with information on the AMA – Academy of Model Aeronautics, drone safety & programs that spark interest in the drone tech education & employment pipeline.  The event kicks off the 2019 Forest Fury Team Drone Challenge & will feature a partial field with themed elements, preliminary drone building information, team registration forms & mentors on-hand to help those who want to start working towards the Spring 2019 competition.

Drone tech companies interested in hosting a booth are asked to make a donation of $25 to the SUNY AMA Club in support of their STEM promotion activities.  The SUNY AMA Club is funded partially by SUNY Student Government grant.  The group is required to fundraise as well as participate in on-campus and off-campus community service projects based on their awarded funding level.  CNY Drones partners with the three CGAM Student Clubs at SUNY Polytechnic Institute – AMA UMASC, 3D Printing & Fabrication Clubs.  Partnering has increased mentorship experiences for college students as well as college connections for high school students, middle school students & their families.
